Warwick Valley VFW Post 4662 is very pleased to announce the opening of their new Veteran and First Responder Center in Warwick ! This Center will be dedicated to providing resources for Veterans and First Responders in the Orange County area who are seeking assistance with Veteran benefits, crisis resources, mobile health units and the camaraderie that comes from reaching out to those who understand the difficulties associated with traumatic experiences.
The official opening was held on Friday, Dec 17 and attended by State Senator Michael Martucci, a representative from the office of State Assemblyman Carl Brabanek, County Legislator Barry Cheney, Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard, Warwick Village Justice Jeanine Wadeson, VFW District Commander Howie Goldsmith, VFW Post 4662 Commander Jose’ Morales, VFW Post 4662 Sr. Vice Commander Carmine Garritano, Warwick Chamber of Commerce President Michael Johndrow, VFW Chaplain Don Grenier, and VFW members Greg Sciscoe, Candido Rivera, and Ralph Leonard.
The new location is at 154 Route 94 South in Warwick. The Center is attached to the Bowling Alley which is at that location and has a separate entrance adjacent to the Bowling Alley entrance. The Warwick Valley VFW Post 4662 has searched for a new home since before the Pandemic and has, nevertheless, been steadfast in their continuing effort to provide much needed support for Veterans and First Responders. Current hours for the Center are: Mon 10-2pm Tues 10-4pm Wed Closed Thurs. 10-4pm Fri Closed Sat 10-4pm When you see the Stars and Stripes presented at our entrance WE ARE THERE !!
