Warwick, NY — [July 15, 2025] – The Town of Warwick proudly hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to unveil the newly constructed playground at Airport Park, marking a significant milestone in the Town’s ongoing efforts to enhance recreational facilities for local families.
A main priority of the Town Board is securing grant funding for projects across the town. The Airport Park Playground project was fully funded through grant funding secured by New York State Senator James Skoufis. Construction was completed by contractors from Miracle Playground, with essential support from the Town of Warwick Department of Public Works (DPW) crews.
“This new playground represents our commitment to supporting young families and our mission to clean up and improve parks throughout the Town of Warwick,” said Warwick Supervisor Jesse Dwyer during the ceremony. “We’re grateful to Senator Skoufis for his advocacy and to all who helped bring this wonderful addition to Airport Park to life.”
The modern playground features state-of-the-art equipment designed to promote safe, active play for children of all ages along with ADA compliant rubber matting. The project aligns with the Town’s broader initiative to invest in community spaces and enhance the quality of life for residents.
Senator Skoufis expressed his pride in helping secure the funding, stating, “Investments in our parks and public spaces are investments in our communities and our future. I’m thrilled to see Warwick’s vision come to fruition with this beautiful new playground.”
The new Airport Park Playground is now open to the public and is expected to become a popular destination for families across Orange County’s largest town.
