Full water service was restored to the GWL Westside Water District at 10 am this morning. 70% of the users had water by midnight however a unique leak that gave no hint of where the water was going made the final repair a challenge. I want to thank TAM Enterprises for quickly mobilizing last evening and working through the night to find the stubborn culprit I also want to thank our DPW and our water operators H2O for their help as well. A special thanks to GWL mayor Jesse Dwyer who offered village hall for staging our drinking water truck for residents as well as contacting the GWL superintendent of schools who got critical messages out to residents. A final thank you to the over 300 residents affected whose patience is greatly appreciated as we strive a 50 year old system whose costs by State law only they can shoulder.As per County Health Dept. regulations please boil water for drinking for the next 2 days. ... Important Alert:Residents in the GWL west side water district along Jersey Ave : We have called in extra outside crews to resolve the issue of no water. They will work they the night to resolve this problem. We have at stationed a water tanker truck in Front of Village hall , 18 church street , for the rest of the night.
